Levy and Co. was founded on 1st March 2008 by Steven Levy.

Our firm specialises in criminal defence in all areas of criminal law.  We undertake legally aided clients as well as those who are privately funded.  We strive to ensure that clients have expert assistance at the police station, magistrates and Crown Courts as well as appeals in the Higher Courts.

At present Levy & Co have offices in Braintree and Witham.  Our approach to clients is one of friendliness and efficiency.  Our clients are made to feel welcome but also confident that their legal issues are dealt with in a manner that is expedient and competent.  We strive to create the right impression by being as available and as approachable as possible.  We offer appointments outside the normal working hours and offer a 24 hour telephone service for emergencies.  We wish our clients to have access to a solicitor at all times, and we ensure that as a firm we work as efficiently as possible to deliver an excellent service to all our clients.

The firm is able to represent adult and youth clients in Police Stations, Youth/Magistrates Courts and Crown Court as well as Military hearings, including Court Martial.  We also have knowledge of Prison Law and advise those who require representation at Parole Board and Adjudication hearings.

Levy & Co. has an excellent reputation locally, and this reputation is fast expanding into Suffolk, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and London.  Levy & Co. are increasingly becoming one of the leaders in Road Traffic Law.

We have also found that, due to the location of our offices we have been able to facilitate referrals from the Citizens Advice Bureau and advise clients who are investigated by Local Authorities and Department of Work and Pensions.
